Video Club and Masterclasses
Plans are afoot to start running one or more ‘video club’ sessions for those who have received initial training so that they can continue to improve their video production skills by working on further film projects. Video club members will help produce further films for the Rossendale TV project.
Masterclasses
There are further plans to institute a programme of ‘Master Classes’, inviting professional practitioners in the fields of film, TV and possibly radio to speak about their work, the preparation they needed to get their current jobs, and how their working practices are likely to change in the future thanks to new technology. The classes will be open to everyone (though a nominal entrance free will be charged to cover running costs) and could prove especially useful to imminent school leavers thinking about careers in the media industry.
